The Madison Reunion

A Party With a Purpose

The Madison Reunion was a "together again for the first time" gathering on June 14 - 16, 2018, at the (newly-renovated) Memorial Union and at venues on campus and around town.

The Reunion hosted 1000 people for three days of music, meet-ups and deep diving into topics of meaning and importance at the Conference on Madison in the 60's.

We are happy to announce the posting of videos of all panels from the conference – more than 40 hours capturing topics from war to comedy, music to history, journalism to theater and beyond.

They say, "If you remember it, you weren't there," but most of us who passed through Madison in the '60s have deep and lasting memories of the time and place.

But nobody could have experienced it all and so this bird’s-eye graphic history served as part of the program for the Conference on Madison in the 60's.

"Whatever may be the limitations which trammel inquiry elsewhere, we believe that the great state University of Wisconsin should ever encourage that continual and fearless sifting and winnowing by which alone the truth can be found."
